Who is the course for?

This course is suitable for staff from schools considering forming a global learning partnership with a school in another continent (see DGSP: Eligible Countries). It will also be of interest to those who have already done the introductory face-to-face workshop (see DGSP: Introduction to Global Schools Partnerships) and who wish to use the materials with colleagues or revisit and explore some of the ideas further.

How might the course be used?

The course is designed so that individuals, a group of colleagues or a facilitator can work through each section either chronologically or selectively. The course can be completed in one sitting or saved and used over a period of time. Allow at least 3 hours to complete the six sections.

DFID Global School Partnerships strongly recommends that the ideas and activities in this course are used with as many school colleagues as possible so that a school-wide consensus about the desirability of a new partnership can be agreed. This gives any resulting partnership effective and sustainable foundations. Activities can be printed for wider school use.
