This course is suitable for staff from schools considering forming a global dimension partnership with a school in another continent (see DGSP: Eligible Countries). It will also be of interest to those who have already done the introductory face-to-face workshop (see DGSP: Introduction to Global Schools Partnerships) and who wish to use the materials with colleagues or personally revisit and explore some of the ideas in more depth.
The course is designed so that individuals, a group of colleagues or a facilitator can work through each section either chronologically or selectively. The course can be completed in one sitting or saved and used over a period of time.
DFID Global School Partnerships strongly recommends that the ideas and activities in this course are used with as many school colleagues as possible so that a school-wide consensus about the desirability of a new partnership can be agreed. This gives any resulting partnership effective and sustainable foundations. Activities can be printed for wider school use.
Register your school or organisation details here. Once you have registered you will be able to begin using the materials. You will be able to save and print your work. You can complete the course in one go or return as often as you like. If you complete at least 4 of the 6 reflective activities at the end of the sections you can submit your work for a Certificate of Completion here.
By submitting your details you agree that the British Council and their partners can retain and record information regarding your school or organisation contact details (addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, websites) and, if you are in partnership, the contact details of your partner schools.
This information will not be published or disclosed to any third parties. All personal information supplied is held securely by the British Council and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
